On the behalf of www.trekseverest.com Himalayan Brothers Trek (P) Ltd. Arun valley region is located within the Makalu Barun National Park, which was established in 1992 as National’s eighth national park and covers about 2330 sq.-km. It is surrounded by the Arun River in the east, Sagarmatha National Park on the west and boarder to the south. This region is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and reaches culture the Rai Limbu and ‘Sharps. On the north, walking up along the Arun river until Num and then crossing the situated at the elevation of 4110m, into upper Barun Khola valley for a close scenic view of Mt. Makalu (8463m.)
Park Rules:
Till 1993,there was no official entrance station, so no fee was collected. Now, we have to pay National park office at Khadbrai. Fees for Video Camera and restriction on firewood use are rules of the park.
