Trip Overview |
| Everest panorama Trek, although relatively easy compared to some of other treks, takes you up high along trails to Tengboche Monastery (3850m). This is a short trek but very scenic trek offers really superb view of the world’s highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Ama Dablam and other many snowy peaks. We fly from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip in the Khumbu region and trek up to Namche Bazar, Tyangboche (famous for its monastery) and into the Khumjung village, a very nice settlement of Sherpas people. This trek is a great introduction to Sherpa country and its culture with great mountain views, a very popular destination for first time trekkers in Nepal. This trek is best suited for those who do not have enough time for longer treks into the high mountains. |
Day by Day Itinerary |
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345 meters). There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. Your sightseeing trip will start at 9AM in the morning after breakfast. We will provide a private vehicle and professional tour guide. We visit Pasupatinath temple, Buddhanath, Monkey temple, Bhaktpur durbar square and Kathmandu durbar square. The afternoon includes a final briefing and preparations for the trek. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Fly to Lukla (2804 meters) trek to Phakding (2610 meters) 3 hours. An early morning start takes us to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for the 35 minute scenic flight to Lukla at 2804meters. On arrival at the airport guide will brief you and introduce our porters before we begin our trek towards Phakding at 2610meters. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 04 Trek to Namche Bazaar (3441 meters) 5.30 hours. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest, there are many good hotels and lodges here, along the whole Everest trail this is quite a big village. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 05 Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day. We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air. We will take a short trek to the museum celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people to visit. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport, around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise or sunset over the panorama of the Khumbu peaks. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 06 Trek to Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) 5 hours. We trek to an altitude of 3860 meters today. On reaching Tengboche your guide will tell you about the local monastery situated here. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the days trekking went. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 07 Trek back to Namche Bazar 5 hours. Following down same trail, leaving the mountains behind us our descent takes us from Tengboche Monastery (3860 meters) before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 08 Trek to Lukla (3404 meters) 6 hours. Finally we return to Lukla where the trek began, which seems a lifetime ago. Enjoying time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. Overnight at guesthouse.
Day 09 Morning flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. We reflect upon the mountains you have recently visited for one last time before 35 minute Scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Leisure day in Kathmandu. It's also spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla, If you are interested in continuing on to the Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure or any other tours you can start today.
Day 11 Transfer for your final flight departure. The trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
