Dhaulagiri Trekking

Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest peak in the world, which continues merely over the great Kali Gandaki valley in central west Nepal . This trek around the massif of Dhaulagiri is as challenging and remote as any in Nepal This trek offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri 's massive south face as well as the chance to explore the remote valleys hidden away behind its bulks. From Pokhara, the route heads up the Myagdi river valley passing through a few market towns settled along its verdant bank, to reach the southwestern border of Dhaulagiri . You commence your trek through the wonderful forest of pine, rhododendron and to come into view on the Kaphe Glacier, from where you climb up and over French Pass (5240m) and descend down to the wild and unraveled valleys. The route then takes you over the Thapa La pass (5250m), with exceptional views of the great Kali Gandaki George, before the steep descend into the valley and the return down to Pokhara. This is a one of the most challenging trek.
