Bhutan Information
The ancient kingdom of Tibet also known as the roof of the world occupies most of the high arid plateau lying immediately north of the Greater Himalaya. It is a vast territory nearly 1,200 miles (2,000km) long and 600 miles (1,000km) wide, most of which lies more than 14,000ft/4,267m above sea level. Behind the high Himalayan barrier, it experiences little rainfall and is defined as mountain or a cold desert.
The complete encirclement of Tibet by uncongenial mountains has helped it isolate itself for centuries. There are many areas in Tibet yet to be discovered. Trekking in Tibet is an experience of enchantment and exulted trepidation in a perfect harmony.
Tibet is without doubt one of the most remarkable places to visit in Asia . It offers fabulous monastery sights, breathtaking high-altitude treks, stunning views of the world's highest mountains and one of the most likable peoples you will ever meet
